We’ve all heard outrageous stories of celebrity spending. With Michael Jackson’s recent death, there have even be TV shows made about the phenomena! It’s not often, however, I read about something quite as decadent as Amy Winehouse’s recent designer shoes binge…

According to various sources, the singer recently spent a massive £10,000 on designer shoes…in a single afternoon shopping spree! Given the average price of an Amy Winehouse album, she’d have to go platinum to make that kind of money back! Luckily her father, Mitch Winehouse, managed to return all the shoes to Selfridges, saying his daughter has “replaced her drug addiction with a shopping addiction”. I suppose some people have addictive personalities…but ten grand on shoes in one afternoon?!

Mitch went on to say Amy never wears the shoes she buys; “she has two rooms full of un-opened, unworn shoes, it’s ridiculous, such a waste.”
